University Scholarships
1. Brainware Academic Excellence Scholarship (Vidyalankar)
Eligibility: Students scoring 90%–94.99% in qualifying exams receive a 50% tuition fee waiver; those with 95% or above receive a full tuition fee waiver.
Additional Benefit: Institution toppers with less than 90% marks are eligible for an additional ₹25,000 fee reduction.
Exclusions: Not applicable to international students, alumni, or students enrolled in M.Pharm, B.Pharm, D.Pharm, B.Sc Nursing, and GNM programs.
2. Brainware Merit Scholarship (Medha Britti)
Eligibility: Minimum of 60% marks throughout the academic career.

Is Brainware a recognized university? Is it recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC)?
Brainware University was established under by an Act of the West Bengal legislature as a private university and is empowered to award degrees as specified under Section 22 of the UGC Act under its main campus in regular mode. The name of the university is included in the list of universities maintained by the UGC under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956.
Brainware University has been established by Act XXXI of 2015 of the Government of West Bengal. ‘The Brainware University Act, 2015’ has been passed by the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, and the same has been published in Kolkata Gazette, Extraordinary on January 27, 2016. The provisions of the Brainware University Act, 2015, have come into effect from February 25, 2016, through the Government of West Bengal notification (No. 165-Edn (U)/IU – 125/2014) on February 24, 2016.
What type of university is Brainware?
It is a state private university.
I’m interested in taking admission, but my board/university exams were cancelled/ postponed due to the pandemic. Can I take admission without having Class XII grades/marks?
Yes, you can take provisional admission without final grades/ marks. However, you need to fulfil the eligibility criteria once your board/university declares the result.
What is the minimum fee payment to reserve a seat?
You can take provisional admission and confirm your seat by paying a nominal fee of Rs 5,000 for all programmes which would be adjusted against your programme fee for the semester.
What if I don’t meet the eligibility criteria specified by the university? What will happen to my candidature?
Brainware University offers more than 50 different programmes in various disciplines and you can transfer to a programme that fulfils your eligibility criteria or you can apply for a refund. You will get the refund as per the university refund policy.
Is appearing for the eligibility test a must for taking admission?
Yes, you have to qualify for the Brainware Eligibility Test. It is an MCQ-based test.
What are the steps required to take admission to this university?
